Description
Milk-caps, often recognized by the 'milk' they exude when broken or damaged, have a fascinating trait: they secrete a milky or latex-like substance. This can vary in color from white to yellow, and even blue or green in some species. The fungi’s caps can range in appearance, from brightly colored to more subdued tones. Their symbiotic relationship with trees, forming mycorrhizal associations, aids in nutrient exchange and forest health.
