Description

As its name suggests, the sulphur knight is known for its distinctive, obnoxious smell. Thankfully, this repulsive odor implies its toxicity - the sulphur knight is known to cause severe gastrointestinal problems, and therefore should not be consumed.

The sulphur knight is commonly found in broadleaf deciduous forests, where it forms a symbiotic relationship with beech, oak, and occasionally willow. It's rarely found with conifers. Its fruitbodies grow up through the forest litter above the roots of its host. Below ground, it is exchanging vital nutrients with the tree.
