Description

Tremella are parasitic fungi. These fungi take nutrients and moisture from other mushroom species. They produce small, gelatinous fruiting bodies with cushion-shaped caps. The caps can be lobed with ridges and folds or have fronds similar in appearance to seaweed. Two species are commercially grown, Tremella fuciformis and Tremella aurantialba.
