Description
Jelly fungi are a fascinating group known for their jelly-like appearance. They thrive in humid environments and often grow on decaying wood or tree trunks. Some species within this group can change shape depending on the moisture levels, appearing shriveled when dry and plump when wet. Intriguingly, jelly fungi also engage in parasitic relationships, feeding on other fungi. They play essential roles in forest ecosystems by breaking down organic matter.
