Description
Heath naval is a fascinating group representing an interesting relationship between fungi and algae or cyanobacteria. Mostly found in cold, alpine, and boreal regions, they form small, colorful fruiting bodies often discovered on mosses or humid soil. The unique partnership allows them to survive in harsh environments by efficiently recycling nutrients. Unlike other lichens, heath naval produces tiny mushrooms, making them a remarkable curiosity for both amateur naturalists and experienced mycologists.
