Description

Ascomycete fungi (Helvellaceae) are a fungus family also called sac fungi. The titular sacs are actually not observable but instead are microscopic sexual structures. The family includes elfin saddles, though its members can also be cup-shaped, ear-shaped, or even club-shaped.
