Description

Paxina are cup-shaped fungi found in various habitats, often growing on soil or decaying wood. They have a smooth inner surface and a rough outer surface. Some species can reach up to 10 cm (3.9 in) in diameter. Paxina are known for their ability to forcibly eject spores, creating a visible "puff" of spores when disturbed. They play an important role in decomposing organic matter in ecosystems.
