Description

Trulla is a genus of fungi found in tropical and subtropical regions. These small, cup-shaped fungi grow on decaying wood and plant debris in forests. They have a unique spore dispersal mechanism, using raindrops to splash spores out of their cup-like structures. Some species in this genus have been observed to form symbiotic relationships with certain plants.
