Description
Schizophyllum are unique fungi that can split their gills, a rare trait among mushrooms. This group is known for its incredible resilience, thriving in diverse environments from tropical to temperate regions. They can even survive periods of drought by closing their gills to retain moisture. People have long been fascinated by their almost velvety texture and their ability to grow on a wide range of woody substrates.
