Description
Psoraceae is a family of fungi first described in 1898 by Alexander Zahlbruckner, a botanist who specialized in the study of communities of fungi, bacteria, and algae known as lichens. All the species in this family are lichen-forming and can be differentiated from most lichens by the way they form raised edges on rocks, rather than growing as flat sheets.
