Description
Blackcurly lichen is a lichen genus found in cold, exposed environments like arctic and alpine regions. It forms dark, hair-like tufts on rocks, resembling tangled black wire. This lichen is well-adapted to harsh conditions, tolerating extreme cold and desiccation. Some species in this group can survive prolonged periods without water, reviving quickly when moisture becomes available.
