Description

Plicaturopsis is a genus of dead tree-dwelling fungi that was identified in 1964 by the English mycologist Derek Reid. The mushrooms in this family can be seen on deadwood in temperate climates and have a characteristic shelf-like appearance with individual fruiting bodies often overlapping each other.
