Description

Pleurosticta is a type of lichen found primarily in temperate regions. It forms a symbiotic relationship between fungi and photosynthetic algae or cyanobacteria. Pleurosticta often grows on tree bark and rocks and can absorb significant air pollutants, making it useful as a bioindicator of environmental health.
