Description

Picipes is a fascinating group of fungi known for their bracket or shelf-like appearance, often found growing on decaying wood. One of the intriguing aspects of picipes is their ability to play a critical role in forest ecosystems by breaking down tough plant materials, thus recycling nutrients back into the soil. Some species within this group also exhibit strikingly colorful or textured caps, making them easily recognizable and a subject of interest for fungi enthusiasts.
