Description
Phragmidium is a group known for causing rust diseases on plants, especially affecting roses. These fungi produce striking orange or yellow spores, often seen as spots on the underside of leaves. They can have complex life cycles involving multiple spore stages and sometimes even requiring two different host plants to complete their development. Known for their specificity, each species typically targets only a narrow range of plant hosts.
