Description
Paralepistopsis is a small genus of mushrooms found in Europe and North America. These fungi typically grow on the ground in coniferous forests. They are characterized by their pale, often whitish caps and gills that run down the stem. Some species within this group have a distinctive spicy or peppery taste when raw. The taxonomy of paralepistopsis has been subject to revisions in recent years.
