Description

Panus is a group of fungi known for their unique fan or funnel-shaped appearance, often found on decayed wood in forested areas. They thrive in damp, wooded environments and help decompose dead trees, playing a vital role in nutrient cycling. Some species within this group have a distinctive, tough texture, which allows them to persist longer in the environment compared to more delicate fungi.
