Description
Nidula are small, cup-shaped fungi that resemble tiny bird's nests filled with egg-like structures called peridioles. These peridioles contain the spores of the fungi and are important for reproduction. When raindrops hit the 'nests,' the peridioles are dispersed, helping the fungi spread. The unique appearance of nidula adds a distinctive touch to the forest floor, often found in wooded areas on decaying plant material.
