Description
Myxarium are fascinating organisms with a jelly-like appearance when fresh. They often grow on decaying wood and are most commonly spotted after periods of rain. Notably, some species in this group can exist in semi-translucent forms, adding to their ghostly, intriguing look. These organisms also play a crucial ecological role by breaking down tough plant materials, contributing to nutrient cycling in the forest ecosystem.
