Description
You can find the members of the myxarium family growing on dead wood and leaf litter. They are quite distinctive, since these are jelly fungi that look like small sticky white blobs. These fungi feed saprotrophically, which is the name for the chemical process they use to take nutrients from dead wood and plants.
