Description

Morchellaceae is a family of mushroom-shaped fungi with characteristic ruffled or in some cases brain-like boles. These mushrooms, commonly known as the morels, are edible and prized by mushroom collectors who search diligently for them through the dark soils they inhabit. Care must be taken though since there are poisonous lookalikes.
