Description
Meottomyces is a lesser-known group of fungi often found in woodland habitats. These mushrooms typically grow in litter beneath deciduous trees and bushes. Although they are apparently uncommon, their presence contributes to the decomposition process and nutrient cycling within their ecosystems. The fruiting bodies of meottomyces are generally small to medium-sized, with features that make them an interesting subject for mycologists and nature enthusiasts alike.
