Description
Lentinus are notable for their tough, leathery texture, which helps them survive in various environments, including on dead wood. These fungi have distinctive cap shapes that can often look like small, upturned funnels or saddles. They play an important ecological role by breaking down wood and recycling nutrients back into the ecosystem. Interestingly, lentinus can thrive in both tropical and temperate regions around the world.
