Description

Dyplolabia is a lichen group found in tropical regions, particularly in rainforests. It grows on tree bark and leaves, forming thin, pale crusts. The lichen is notable for its unique fruiting bodies, which resemble small lips or slits. These structures help in spore dispersal. Dyplolabia plays a role in forest ecosystems by contributing to nutrient cycling and providing habitat for small organisms.
