Description

Crazed caps are a fascinating group of fungi commonly found in grassy areas like lawns and meadows, often forming in late summer to autumn. They have a distinctive, somewhat cracked cap appearance. These fungi are typically small to medium-sized, featuring a white spore print. Most species in this group have a distinctive earthy or mealy odour. They play a role in breaking down organic material, contributing to nutrient cycling in their habitats.
