General Info
Toxicity
The information on the edibility and toxicity of the shaggy parasol is very conflicting, as is its taxonomy. Although some sources claim it's edible, a vast majority of authorities emphasizes its toxic nature. The confusion possibly comes from the similarity with the poisonous Chlorophyllum molybdites (the false parasol), so collecting the shaggy parasol is not recommended, especially to inexperienced mushroom hunters.
