Description

Boletinellaceae is a family of mushroom-producing fungi that are most easily identified by the small pores underneath the cap instead of the usual gills. Interestingly, this family is included in the order Boletales but recent studies have shown that they bear a closer resemblance to the earthball fungi of the Sclerodermataceae order.
