Description
Ampulloclitocybe is a remarkable group of fungi known for its unusual funnel-shaped fruit bodies. Among its fascinating features, many species within this group thrive in rich, organic forest soils, often in symbiosis with trees. These fungi are most commonly encountered during autumn, exhibiting a blend of brown and beige colors. Intriguingly, unlike many other fungi, ampulloclitocybe tends to have lesser-known but distinct musky or sweet fragrances that can vary subtly between different species.
