Description

Clitopilus er kjent for sitt unike rosa sporeavtrykk, en egenskap som hjelper til med å identifisere medlemmer av denne gruppen. De finnes ofte voksende på råtnende treverk eller skogbunn, og bidrar til næringssyklusen i økosystemene sine. Noen arter innenfor clitopilus har en distinkt, søt lukt, noe som gjør dem interessante for mykologer og soppsamlere. Disse soppene har vanligvis hatt-og-stilk strukturer, med lameller som løper ned langs stilken.
