Description

Teloschistaceae is a family of lichen-forming fungi that exist in symbiotic communities with algae or bacteria. This is a large family with many species, and it was substantially revised in 2013 to correct previous errors of classification. Many species in this family appear as green or ocher mats on rocks and wood.
