Description
Taphrinaceae is a taxonomic family of fungi whose members parasitize plants and trees. Many taphrinaceae species grow on leaves, taking nutrients from the host plant while damaging it and causing disease. Common plants that you might observe as hosts to these fungi include alder, blackthorn, cow parsley, and pocket plum.
