Description

Strigula lichen is a group of lichens commonly found growing on smooth-barked trees and leaves in tropical and subtropical regions. These lichens form thin, flat crusts that blend seamlessly with their host plant's surface. Some species in this group have the unique ability to penetrate leaf tissue, forming small dark spots visible on both sides of the leaf.
