Description

Sporodictyon is a group of crustose lichens found on rocks and tree bark. They form thin, dark-colored crusts that can be difficult to spot. These lichens have a unique reproductive structure where spores are produced in small, flask-shaped containers. Some species in this group are known to thrive in aquatic environments, including submerged rocks in streams and lakes.
