Until recently, the scytinotus longinquus (Scytinotus longinquus) was classified as a member of the Panellus family, but after extensive research was given its very own genus and species. This reclassification only occurred after extensive DNA research concluded in 2001. They look similar to oyster mushrooms but have a slightly rosier appearance.
