Description

Polycephalomyces is a genus of parasitic fungi that primarily targets insects and other arthropods. Some species are known to infect and control the behavior of ants, leading them to climb plants before killing them. This process aids in spore dispersal. Polycephalomyces can form thin, thread-like structures that emerge from the host's body, giving it a distinctive appearance.
