Description
Peniophorella is a group of wood-decay fungi found on dead branches and logs. They form thin, crusty layers on the wood surface, often with a smooth or slightly wrinkled texture. Some species in this group can change color when scratched or bruised. Peniophorella plays an important role in decomposing wood and recycling nutrients in forest ecosystems.
