Description

Peltula lichen is a lichen group known for its unique adaptation to harsh environments. These small, crust-like lichens often grow on exposed rocks in arid regions. They have a distinctive shield-shaped thallus, which helps them resist desiccation. Some species in this group can survive extreme temperatures and prolonged periods without water, making them well-suited for desert habitats.
