Description

Metarhizium is a group of fungi widely used in biological pest control. These fungi infect and kill various insect species, making them valuable for agriculture. They produce spores that attach to and penetrate insect bodies, growing inside and eventually causing death. Some species of metarhizium can also form symbiotic relationships with plant roots, enhancing plant growth and protecting against pests.
