Description

Megalospora is a group of lichens known for their large, colorful fruiting bodies. These lichens often grow on tree bark in tropical and subtropical regions. Some species in this group can have spores up to 200 micrometers long, which is exceptionally large for lichens. Their thallus, or body, can vary in color from pale gray to yellowish-green.
