Description

Livia is a genus of fungi in the Ascomycota division, specifically within the Helotiales order. It is a monotypic genus, containing only a single species, Livia aurea. This species is part of the diverse group of sac fungi, known for their role in decomposing organic matter and nutrient cycling in ecosystems. Livia aurea, like other members of Helotiales, contributes to the ecological balance by breaking down dead plant material.
