Description

Lichinella lichen is a group of crustose lichens often found on rocks in arid or semi-arid regions. These lichens form small, dark, cushion-like colonies that can withstand extended periods of drought. Some species in this group have a unique ability to absorb water vapor directly from the air, allowing them to survive in harsh environments where liquid water is scarce.
