Description

Leptochidium lichen is a lichen genus found in various parts of the world. It typically grows on soil, rocks, or tree bark in moist environments. The lichen forms small, dark-colored lobes or squamules. Some species in this group have a unique relationship with cyanobacteria, which helps them thrive in nitrogen-poor habitats.
