Description

Laurilia is a wood-dwelling fungus group primarily found in coniferous forests. It forms flat, crust-like fruiting bodies on dead or dying trees. The surface of laurilia is typically smooth and can range in color from white to cream. Some species in this group are known for their ability to break down lignin, a tough component of wood, contributing to forest decomposition processes.
