Description
Inocutis are fungi known for their impressive wood-decaying abilities. They develop thick, woody, shelf-like structures on the sides of trunks and branches. These fungi play a key role in breaking down dead wood, contributing to forest nutrient cycling. Some species have been observed to have striking colors, which can range from creamy yellows to deep browns. Additionally, inocutis has often been studied for potential applications in biotechnology for its enzyme production.
