Description

The hypocreaceae family of fungi might be best described as ultra-fungi. Many fungi are parasites of living plants, but hypocreaceae are actually parasites of other fungi. These tiny fungi grow on mushrooms like 'Russula,' changing their color and appearance. Some species are a bright orange color, leading them to be called 'lobster mushrooms.'
