Description

Hypochnella is a group of wood-decaying fungi found in various parts of the world. They form thin, crust-like layers on decaying wood, particularly on the underside of fallen branches and logs. These fungi play a crucial role in forest ecosystems by breaking down dead plant material and recycling nutrients. Some species within this group have distinctive spore-bearing structures that contribute to their identification.
