Description
Hyperphyscia lichen is a type of lichen. Found mostly in warm, tropical regions, these lichens often grow on tree bark and rocks. A notable feature of hyperphyscia lichen is its light to dark gray color with a somewhat shiny surface. This group of lichens engages in a symbiotic relationship between fungi and algae or cyanobacteria, which allows it to produce its food through photosynthesis while also thriving in diverse environments.
