Description
Hydnotrya is a fascinating group known for producing subterranean fruiting bodies which often resemble small, lumpy truffles. Found mainly in forested areas, they form mutualistic relationships with trees, contributing to the nutrient cycle of their ecosystems. One of the most intriguing aspects of hydnotrya is their unique structure and the complex web of underground connections they form to help trees absorb water and nutrients more efficiently.
