Description

Graphostromataceae are small fungi found on woody plants. They form dark, elongated structures on bark called stromata. These stromata contain tiny chambers where spores develop. Some species in this group are plant pathogens, causing cankers or dieback in their host trees. They play a role in wood decay processes in forest ecosystems.
