Description
Glutinous earth tongues are fascinating fungi known for their unique, sticky appearance. They typically grow in grassy areas and meadows, often emerging in the fall. These fungi produce dark, slender, tongue-shaped fruiting bodies covered with a gelatinous layer, giving them a distinctive, glistening look. Some species within this group have a special relationship with mosses, often found growing amidst or on them, adding a curious touch to their habitat preferences.
