Description

Gloniopsis are fungi found on decaying wood and plant material. They form small, black, boat-shaped structures on the surface of their substrate. These structures contain spores for reproduction. Gloniopsis species are widespread but often overlooked due to their small size. They play a role in decomposition processes in various ecosystems.
